In Wisdom, the month of January 23 happened mostly to be a month of kind of awareness generation and orientation on the potential of the vocational skill courses being offered among the masses. During the month most of the students belonging to different skill training courses of Hotel Management and Hospitality management are away undergoing internship programs at various reputed Hotels in big cities like Chennai, Coimbatore, Bangalore, and hill resorts. There have been a big number of instances of the alumni, the former students of Wisdom have ended up in rewarding careers not only within the state of Tamil Nadu and India but in many countries around the globe. The students of Wisdom now work in reputed hotels in places like London. And they earn very handsome salaries. The Hotel and tourism industry and Hospital administration are two of the areas of extraordinary creation of jobs and self-employment potentials.

The opportunity of being able to earn while studying makes the Hotel Management and Catering technology courses the most sought-after ones. The Hotel and Hospitality Management sector is the unique one where the workers can enjoy both food and accommodation apart from the salary. This unique feature and advantage you can not find in any other sector. Similarly, the Hospital Management and Administration area has enormous job potential. And especially for girls, this is a very good career option. But the rural population is largely unaware of the same potential job-filled sector. And hence it was decided to a campaign towards sensitizing the masses was initiated. In line with the policy of the government of India Wisdom group of institutions of Management Skills has carried out a big campaign to the generation of awareness on the various vocational skills that have job potential this month.

The campaign also included the sensitization on the newly introduced two years course on Hospital Administration being offered by Wisdom apart from the various courses in Hotel and Catering Technology. Bakery and confectionaries, Beverages, Upkeep, Front Office Management, etc. A group of volunteers consisting of women and youth has been formed and the members have been organizing small roadside shows and door-to-door meetings in this initiative of awareness on vocational skill courses which would be tremendously useful to the youth in the villages here. This team of 100 volunteers carried out this awareness generation campaign during January and there was a huge response for the same among the rural masses here. Thus the month of January 23 the first month of the year proved to be a month of sensitization on rewarding career options at Wisdom.
