May that is supposed to be
the hottest month of the year here in this part of the country has ended. The
month of May would also be a hectic month for those who have completed the
School final board exams and Higher Secondary school final exams.
This is because the youth
both boys and girls who have completed their school finals would be looking
forward to choose a course of higher studies mostly. And some would opt to work
for livelihood to support their families unmindful of the fact that it would be
considered as child labor.
In such circumstances during
the month of May the team members of Wisdom College of Hotel Management and
Catering Technology were busily involved in generating awareness among the
people here. The sensitization was on the potentials of taking up a course in
Hotel Management and Catering Technology in the villages and the towns around
here.
The courses like B.Sc.
degree, diploma, certificate courses in the crafts such as Food production and
Beverages, Confectionaries, Front Office Management, and a variety of
individual crafts are offered at Wisdom.
The villagers are sensitized
on joining a vocational skill course in Hospitality industry to settle down in financially
rewarding and secured careers. The fact the Hospitality industry has
been growing leaps and bounds post COVID pandemic vindicates the same.
Similarly, the fast
digitalization and internet connectivity have enabled the concept of virtual
class rooms etc. And thus the online courses in Hotel management and Catering
Technology have become a big opportunity with minimal course fees but good job
opportunities. Saving of travel time and other expenses make online courses
here attractive.
Practical classes are
conducted with tie ups with the Hotels, Resorts etc near by the students’
places by Wisdom College of Hotel Management and Catering Technology. Internships are also arranged with the
organizations concerned for the students undergo the courses at Wisdom.
Admissions have been going on
for the courses of B.Sc. degree, Two year diploma and a variety of Craft
courses all the branches of Hospitality Industry. So all youth belonging to any
